The second Global Chemicals Outlook released earlier this month has found that chemical production continues to grow at unprecedented levels with production projected to double over the next 10 years to 5 billion tonnes. The report highlights that urgent action is required to combat this growth with alternate circular business models along with greater awareness of how hazardous chemicals are released.
